With the extension of a contract with Chiquita, the Dutch port of Flushing (Vlissingen) is expanding its footprint in the perishables reefer trade. Vlissingen is located on the Westerschelde’s N bank. Vlissingen has two port areas and is close to the town. The old port of Vlissingen is partially hidden behind locks, allowing vessels with a LOA of less than 140m access to the inner docks.
